This picture shows a group of officers of Service Company, 422nd Infantry Regiment. I was only able to identify the company commander, Captain Charles R Gibson. He is in the top row, 2nd from the left. If you recognize any of the other men, don't hesitate to post Carl

Do you have any idea at all when and where the photo was taken? How did you get the photo? The guy standing on the extreme right looks incredibly like my father, Sgt. William Myers. However, all along I have been thinking (based on the photo of dad associated with the 6951 at PWTE A-2, Remagen that you have on your website) that my dad was just "attached" to the 106th. You will recall that in that photo he identified 4 other American soldiers, two German PoWs and the jeep that he drove as Motor Sgt.
Maybe this is just a freaky "look alike" situation....I sent the pic to my sister to see what she thinks. I am sort of blown away at this point.

Hi Roger,
Who knows??! These pictures were from M/Sgt Paul McMillan, the motor pool sergeant of the 422nd. They were taken near Murfreesboro in Tennessee during maneuvers in January 1944. That was before the 106th went overseas.

The time and place help confirm that it is NOT my dad. He was in England in 1944 before reassignment to regular infantry in late '44 or early '45. The guy in the picture certainly is a dead ringer for my dad, although it looks more like him at a time after WW2.....more like he looked when he was in his 30s or early 40s.
