Hello, I am searching for anyone who served with or has any information on my father LeRoy Zeigler. He was a member of the 81st engineer combat battalion. Thank You -Tamara Roth

Hi Tamara. I'm so glad I checked the board just now and saw your post. My grandpa was in the 81st. He passed away in 2007, so I can't ask him whether he remembered your father. But, it is nice to have someone else here with ties to the 81st. I assume you've checked out various threads on the board, but there is one book listed in the book thread that is specific to the experiences of the men of the 81st. It is called "Hell Frozen Over." There is also the Unit Specific Discussion thread for the 81st; it would be nice to have more information added there. If you have stories, mementos and/or photos, I'd love it if you shared whatever you'd like to share. Welcome. Diana
