I just located a youtube interview with Mr. Freedman posted in February 2012 at age 90 where he tells his story to the Gwinnett Daily Post.
This brief 4 minute interview is inspiring and insightful. He tells of becoming a POW and of his liberation.
He also mentions extremely helpful instructions at the end of their captivity by a "Captain Morgan." (Anyone have a clue about the identity of Captain Morgan?)
He notes that a VI Armored Jeep was the first allied vehicle to enter the camp on the day of their release-- March 30, 1945.
