For me I think each Veterans Day is more meaningful that the one before. Tomorrow, here in Wichita, the WWII memorial will be dedicated in Veterans Park. It consists of granite panels and a walkway paved with bricks engraved with the names of those who served. www.kansas.com/2011/11/10/2096664/world-war-ii-memorial-dedication.htmlThank you to Connie, Floyd, Carl, Jim, and everyone here who served, who share your personal experiences and stories, and who help preserve this time in history so that loved ones may know.

As I entered the site today with thoughts of Veteran's Day, it was nice to discover that Diana had been here first.
I hope that those who have fought will feel our gratitude today and always.

This veterans day I remember the blood stained hills of the Battle of the Bulge and the Soldiers who shed their blood on that soil; especially the missing and unacounted for. They vanished as if they had never been brought forth into this world. History cannot register their deeds because they are known only to God. They deserve to stand shoulder to shoulder with all Americas' men of valor.
To those missing and unaccounted for, I salute you. May your souls rest in the peace of the Lord forever.

We were on a cruise on Veteran's Day this year and I had no computer capability to include my notes of appreciation to all those who have served and those who died serving. And, Floyd did us all a service to remind us to remember those who did not return and remain unaccounted for to this day.
As an additonal note, I was very impressed that the ship we were on held a brief ceremony at 11:00 on Veteran's Day!
