Hi Connie:
I have not seen this document, yet I have read those words which were printed in a small booklet printed by, or for the 106th Division in, I believe June, or July 1955.
Thank you for posting this one, I appreciate it very much.

New General Orders Documents on Indiana Military SiteJim West has sent word that a researcher has given him access to a pile of 106th General Orders Documents from the National Archives, including award lists. After posting these, he will be using them to update the Roster. Note that he is in the process of adding more so if you're interested you might check this out periodically. *Go to the 106th section of the Indiana Military Site *click on REFERENCE LIST on the side bar. *As you scroll down the reference list, the ones in blue are clickable documents. As you scroll a bit further down you will begin seeing some of these labeled General Orders. www.indianamilitary.org/106ID/SoThinkMenu/106thSTART.htm(See Reply #5 on this thread for an update on this info.)

POW ID Tag From 590th & Movement order for some 106th Liberated Personnel An alert from Jim West gave us notification of an e-bay sale of a POW ID bracelet. The item has since sold. But the photos of the bracelet and attached document are of interest. They can still be seen if you click on the photo of the sold POW ID & scroll down.
(E-Bay link no longer works)
The I-D bracelet belonged to Thomas, Lyle L - PFC 590FA liberated from 4B
The accompanying documentation a copy of a movement order post liberation that included POW ID # , camp liberated from, army unit, and hometown destination.
There are other 106th Infantry Division members on this list. The packet for movement appears to be a packet of former POW's from the mid-west:
Here's an attempt at reading the names of the members of the 106th: Schwartz, Eli J.- PFC 423rd liberated from 4B (probably Schwartz, Eli Leon 423 CN
Sommers, Keith - PFC 422nd liberated from 4A (roster 422K)
Szpek, Mrvin- PFC 423rd liberated from 4A (probably Szpek, Ervin E 423 I)
Thomas, Lyle L - PFC 590FA liberated from 4B

More on the General Orders Jim West is Posting - (see reply 2 above for access information)
This just in from Jim West:
Two days ago I began looking thru the 106th General Orders for individuals. I have now added 120 new names and info to the Roster. I still have 71 General Orders to look in. I never thought they could be such a source of material. All the General Orders are available on the website. As best I can tell, it is the only such complete listing of General Orders anywhere. Several indexes exist, but no one seems to have them in detail. West
