I'm trying to redo things to make them easier to find. Here are the major sites which are either completely dedicated to the 106th Infantry Division or have huge segments dedicated to the 106th:
INDIANA MILITARY SITE
106th Infantry Division section: www.IndianaMilitary.org/106ID/SoThinkMenu/106thSTART.htm
Roster: Note: the Roster location has changed. Jim West has turned it over to Wayne Dunn who is maintaining it on the 106th Infantry Division Association Site: 106thinfdivassn.org/roster106/rostera.html
Roster Abbreviations Source Index www.indianamilitary.org/106ID/Rosters/REFERENCES/Source.htm
Index to Newspaper Clippings: 106thdivision.proboards.com/post/4666/thread
Searchable Cub Magazines Go to the Indiana Military Site's main page. Along the side you will Cub magazines listed & if you know which one you want you can find and open it there.
But if you're searching for a particular name, unit, or topic just go to the search engine for the entire site that is found in the center of the page.
Any search you enter will yield links throughout the site as well as links to the applicable Cub Magazine.... however this process does not take you to the page you need.
JR. Wentz on a post on this discussion board came up with a solution that eliminates the scrolling through a Cub:
Speaking of the Cub, when I search for something in the Cub the link takes me to the first page, not the article I want. So, I select Print, and then it allows me to open the magazine as a PDF. Once you have it in PDF you can search for the name or term you want. This presents a result on the left hand side with all the pages that your search is found on. The only thing to remember then is that the PDF counts the cover and the inside as pages. So, if it says your item is on page 11, you will find it on the page numbered 9. Faster than scrolling pages looking for the name or the term. I use a Mac, but pretty sure Windows works roughly the same way. Also, you can save the whole issue of the Cub if you want it, otherwise you can close the file without saving it."

Some History/ Connection to Discussion Board
The work of Jim West, also the founder of our message board, the Indiana Military site is a priceless collection, the work of more than a decade.
Camp Atterbury Indiana was the last military base that was home to the 106th before they were shipped to the deployment Camp in Massachusetts and on to the European Theater of Operation. Of course you can find photos of Camp Atterbury here. Jim West's work includes collections from a number of Divisions who called Atterbury home for a time. You can click here to go directly to the 106th material:
You will be rewarded with an incredible wealth of available material. There are diaries & personal accounts, POW accounts, [newspaper[/b] articles, photos, the roster he has assembled--often one name at a time --and so much more. This is a living site -- still growing with your information.
Jim West, who founded and maintains the Indiana Military Site, also established this discussion board.
DIVISION ASSOCIATION SITE 106thinfdivassn.org/index.html
The seed for the founding of the 106th Infantry Division Association was planted when, after VJ day, General Donald A Stroh, Commanding, issued orders for a committee to establish an association. "A constitution and bylaws were drafted and on September 15, 1945 at Camp Lucky Strike, a call was issued to all interested members of the division to meet in the mess tent and vote on the organization of a division association." -- quote about association history came from The Cub of the Golden Lion Passes in Review, p.298
Meeting regularly since their return from the ETO, today the association consists of members of the division and associate members including family and other interested supporters.
To date there have been yearly gatherings nationally and some area mini-reunions. The association also publishes "The Cub" magazine 3 times a year for members.

The site is devoted to the story of the 106th Infantry Division.
Biographies, tributes, newsreel clips, artifacts, and so much more await you when you enter this site. It will take a while to mine the riches here.
