When assigned to the 106th at Atterbury he trained with 424A as a 60mm. mortar gunner He was captured by Panzer Division Soldiers while defending a crossroad at Winterspelt on Dec. 17 He mentions POW experience at XIIA (Limburg) and then a 3 day march without food to Lukenwalde, near Berlin. Roster lists several additional prison camps and references a Cub article.
