Battle of St. Vith- Part 1 & 2 about 1 hour www.youtube.com/watch?v=mU2Yvg1-wIY" Published on Sep 29, 2012 This two part 1965 film begins with the background of events on Hitler's Ardennes offensive December 1944, with focus on 19 December attack on St. Vith and marking the beginning of the Battle of the Bulge. The second part continues with the Battle of the Bulge along with highlights of the U.S. Army's 84th Infantry Division fighting the German Army in World War II, including the penetration of the Siegfried Line in November 1944 and the move into Belgium in December 1944. The film is narrated by actor, Robert Taylor. The Big Picture two episodes produced by the U.S. Army
Among the narrators of this film are two from the 106th Infantry Division. I'll add links here to more info on these men: Thomas A Riggs: 106thdivision.proboards.com/thread/817 Oliver Patton: 106thdivision.proboards.com/thread/820
In many ways this film is the December After Action Report brought to life...
This film is discussed elsewhere on the board: 106thdivision.proboards.com/thread/572?page=1 and also here: 106thdivision.proboards.com/thread/816/documentary-battle-st-vith But I think that starting a thread for films that can be watched immediately may also be helpful There are others to add!

2006 Video Interview with John Phillips 424 E/ POW by Iowa Public TV www.iowapbs.org/iowapathways/artifact/world-war-ii-veteran-john-phillipsbrief: 3minutes 26 seconds contains WWII Footage Phillips who was a January replacement in the division and had just taken over the exec officer position in 424E tells of 24 days under attack and outdoors before running into a German ambush outside Medel, Belgium where he was wounded and taken captive. He was in a field hospital near Koblenz and then in a POW camp with 1500 officers in Hammelberg. Interview covers some of POW experience. The POW footage used does not appear to be of officers at Hammelberg, but it is a quick interesting video.
