Seven Days Productions, which launched a live streaming webcast The First Seven Days of the Battle of the Bulge last December 16, 2014 has added another exciting and historically correct webcast about the landings in Normandy, June 6, 1944. It ran yesterday beginning at the exact time that the initial launching of Higgins boats hit the water. It had a great following with over a 1000 people watching the webcast throughout the day. You can find an archived copy at Livestream.com/First 24 Hours, which requires you to establish an account with Livestream (free) or you can follow this link: www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLE_LaF5385Bx34Qx3VN39MhhOIiCFOdt9While not really a part of the 106th experience it is worth watching and learning how the US Armed Forces converged at one small spot on the map of France and within 6 months faced the storm of Hitler's last gasp in Belgium. Real news films and documentary footage along with bonus movies and "live" reporting from the beaches of Normandy. Enjoy!

Thanks for the link. I agree. D-day was a vital prelude to what came later for the division, as well as being a vital part of the nation's history.
Additionally, the division was raided for manpower while at Camp Atterbury awaiting deployment. Some men who had a stateside history with the 106th were involved in the d-day invasion with other divisions. I wish there were a list...
