Douglas Prater
M. Douglas "Doug" Prater, 85, of Signal Mountain, passed away Monday, Sept. 7, 2009.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a POW after capture during the Battle of the Bulge. When Doug returned from the War, he attended Auburn University and Georgia Institute of Technology. For several years he sang professionally with The Lefevres. Doug had a long career as an architectural designer with Pattillo Construction Co., designing many industrial office buildings throughout the Southeast...
