February 16, 2018 of Voorhees, NJ, formerly of Gibbstown, NJ. Husband of Ruth Weiss. Father of Ellen (Richard) Freyman, Susan (Joseph Tramutola, III) Weiss, and Philip (Rosina) Weiss. Grandfather of Neal and Stephen Freyman and Sarah and Michael Weiss. Brother of Jeannine Hamburg. Mr. Weiss was a 1942 graduate of Paulsboro High School and was recently inducted in the inaugural class of the Paulsboro High School Hall of Distinguished Alumni. He was a WW II Veteran and fought in the Battle of the Bulge serving with the 106th Infantry Div/423rd/HQ 3rd Bat. After graduating from Penn State in 1949, Mr. Weiss joined his family business, Weiss True Value Hardware in Paulsboro. He was beloved by customers and was a respected icon in the Paulsboro community. He was a member of the Paulsboro-Gibbstown Zoning Board for 15 yrs, a former president of Beth Israel Syn. in Woodbury, NJ, a member of Kiwanis Int'l for over 55 yrs, and served as past-president on two occasions.
