This thread is migrating from the announcements. The information was sent by Jim West. The first post was on January 28, 2015 Jim West noted: It might be of interest, that the Pentagon is now reviewing the Indiana Military web sites (www.IndianaMilitary.org) and Rosters of the 28th, 30th, 31st, 83rd, 92nd, and 106th roster, as an aid to help identify and locate MIAs from WW2 and the Korean War.
The writer to me is a historian with the Department of Defense Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office (formerly DPMO). Her office is charged with the fullest possible accounting of all missing service personnel and she works in the WWII Division.
They have more than 200 ground troops still missing from the Battle of the Bulge. She met several 106th Veterans during the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge last month. I thank Dick Lockhart and Carl Wouters for bringing my sites and rosters to her attention.
I think this points out that everyone should visit your 106th Roster and examine it to be sure all are included and that the information presented is correct and complete.
The 106th Roster can be seen at tinyurl.com/106th-INFDIV-Roster. If you see any necessary changes, just email me and I will immediately make the corrections. It doesn’t only have to be the individual – if you know of missing Veterans, or missing info about a deceased Veteran, that would also be valuable.

Update:
Carl Wouters spent some time this past weekend working with men who are doing this search for MIA's. I believe he said there are still 20 missing from the 106th.
They visited spots where the action occurred leading to the MIA status. Interviews with local people may follow.
This is valuable work.
