One article was continued from page 7. Page 7 mostly covered items other than the war. Here is what it says about the 106th on page 7: "Bulge Battle" "This column recently revealed the fact that prior to the disastrous German "Bulge" attack," It continues in the attachment with the file name starting with "106th Infantry Division at"106th_Infantry_Division_at_the_Battle_of_th....pdf (387.36 KB) 106thDiedFighting22Jan1945.pdf (513.11 KB)) Note that one of the articles mentions the soldiers "common feeling for their commanding general and colonel is too low to be expressed." In the mid to later 1980s a lot of men read "A Time for Trumpets" by Charles MacDonald and realized the problems they faced were not caused by General Jones and the regimental commanders of the 106th. The problems were caused at higher levels from the Corps to the Supreme Command.
