Hello Group... Researching regimental DUI's of the 106th ID. My research has given me an array of information, most of which has been inconclusive due to inaccuracies and conflicting information. There has also been post WWII re-designed insignias, other reproductions (in some cases, fakes), and in same cases no information of designs even existing for individual regiments. The attached image shows what I have found. If anyone has any new information, pics, data, etc of the 106th regimental DUIs, I would very much appreciate a reply! Thanks, Marc Father: Marcus A Bartusek 106 ID/424 Regt/2 Batt/H Co

Marc,
Never checked out regimental insignia. Perhaps because my father was in a FieldArtillery Battalion...(??). Anyway this is interesting. On the run at the moment but I will get into listing your father's name and units and take another look at Regimental insignia. Did your dad wear the regimental insignia on his uniform as well as that of the division?

Hey Connie, All (most) units had DUI, so your father's Artillery Battalion would most likely have one. My dad finished up his time in the ETO as Military Police, where he was apart of the 383rd Military Police Battalion stationed out of Paris, Antwerp and Brussels, but still associated with the 106th. And he did wear the 383rd DUI on his jacket and garrison cap. Thanks again for posting! Marc
