Looking for information on my dads company he was part of the 423rd E company 106th division.Any information will help me to tell his story also would like to hear from someone from the same company

Mercybeth, Thanks for posting the link to Weldon Lane's story on the Indiana Military site. I started reading and plan to finish it soon. It's well written and interesting. Sandy's post has aged a bit. I hope there is a check-back to the board. Meanwhile, someone else from 423 E has checked in. A recent search of the Indiana Military Site Roster showed that B.J. Carmichel's full name is Burkle Jay Carmichael. He was indeed a member of E Company in the 2nd Battalion of the 423rd Infantry Regiment. He is also listed as a POW who spent time in the 4-B POW camp.
