Looking for information on my dads company he was part of the 423rd E company 106th division.Any information will help me to tell his story also would like to hear from someone from the same company

My Dad was in E company 106th. Hardly spoke of his time there since most was spent as a POW, and my brother and I knew not to press too hard. Since my Dad's passing over a year ago, my brother and I are also trying to find out more, "retrace" his steps, so to speak. The only other GIs I knew of that my Dad ever talked about was B.J. Carmichael and Weldon Lane. Don't think Lane was in E company, not sure about Carmichael either. Thanks for posting the link to Weldon Lane's story on the Indiana Military site. I started reading and plan to finish it soon. It's well written and interesting.

A recent search of the Indiana Military Site Roster showed that B.J. Carmichel's full name is Burkle Jay Carmichael. He was indeed a member of E Company in the 2nd Battalion of the 423rd Infantry Regiment. He is also listed as a POW who spent time in the 4-B POW camp.
