Approaching Easter 1945 my dad (Lt. Gerald Pratt) sent 2 v-mails home which together formed the words and picture for an Easter card. The picture was a drawing of a heavily bombed (and partly reconstructed in the drawing) Belgian church.
Dad said that the "drawing was done by one of the men in the battery." Is there anyone out there who might have an idea who the artist in 592 FA BN, A Battery was?
(I know this is a long shot. Chances are no one out there will know. But, this is an interesting bit of history to share, anyway...)

It's Easter again, and I'd like to resurrect this old inquiry... just in case.
It would be wonderful to learn the identity of the "artist" in 592nd A.
Of course it would also be interesting to discover someone in the unit who remembers my father (Lt. Gerald Pratt). Dad was with the Service Battery of the 590th. They joined forces unofficially with the 589th on the 17th of December. The Army took the remnants of those units apart and reassigned the men on January 1st. Dad was with the 592nd A from January 1 up until the reconstitution of old units in April.
John Andrews of the 592nd, who was captured, speculated that dad may have taken his place. That may well have been the case.
