Most POWs stayed in more than one camp. And most spent some time journeying to and between camps. Some never settled in a camp. I'm thinking it might be helpful if, a little at a time as I look at POW stories, we could list things like unit, dates, and sequence of the trek (with dates where available) for various individuals in the 106th. Would anyone find this helpful?

Connie,
Sounds like a tough job, but still hope you are able to find the time to do it.

Frank,
I will be working on this.... gradually, with other things pushing it to the side from time to time You're right. If I do this right it will take some time. It would also lend itself more to a chart than to the conversational format of this site. This may mean that eventually I'll have to read Carl's tips on attachments. But if you're the only one who posts an interest that will make life simple. I can send the attachment to you... someday.
The POW stories on Jim West's Indiana Military site will prove invaluable as I do this, but I know that not all the POW stories are posted there. At the Kansas City reunion I spoke with a father and a daughter (from New Jersey, I believe). The father had spent his entire captivity under gard and walking... I haven't seen this story covered...
