I have 2 trophies that were awarded to the Co D 423rd. One says regimental champions Co D 423rd Sept 1943. The other is bigger and says Division Champs June 1944 Co D 423rd INF. My grandfather was in Co D 423rd, but he wasn't there at the time. I'm not sure how he come about these, but he gave them to me when I was a young boy and I kept them. Was wondering if anyone knew anything more about them or if anyone remembered the baseball tournament.

In June 1944 the softball champions of the infantry regiments, the division artillery and special troops played the division tournament. The champions competing were 422/H, 423/D, 424/M, 590/C and 331/D.
I would love to see some pictures of these trophies!
