Lone Sentry account of 106th Division History:
The story of the division:

Thumbnail history: www.lonesentry.com/usdivisions/history/infantry/division/106th_infantry_division.html
A few clarifications to the thumbnail history:
*The 17th of November was the day the Last ship carrying the division arrived in England.
*While for all useful purposes, the 422nd and 423rd (along with most of the 590th FA BN), may have been lost to the division on the 18th of Dec., the actual surrenders were on the 19th.

by going to the home page of this site for the German 62 Volksgrenedier Division and clicking at the appropriate side bar you can find a copy of the Lone Sentry history on the division, in larger print and with some photos. There arealso maps and accounts of the 424th that originated in the Cub Magazine & an account of the 423rd also taken from a Cub. This is an excellent detailed account with maps done by Alan Jones Jr. It takes two trips to the sidebar there, first to click on 106th and then on your choice of
