Hello. I came across this new book with a video clip that was featured on NBC Nightly News yesterday. I thought it was quite moving and inspiring so I decided to share. Karrie Note from Connie: December 6, 2020 The link posted by Karrie no longer works, but I found the clip: www.nbcnews.com/video/world-war-ii-stories-come-to-life-44459587798

Thanks! I once had someone who worked in a nursing home tell me she wanted to read what I was writing because it would give her insights into the life experiences of the people she was working with. But this takes that desire to a whole new level.
I was interrupted when watching the video clip but will get back to it.

Link to the book on Amazon: www.amazon.com/Remembered-Hanover-Residents-Association-2012-02-08/dp/B01LWV0QYKor www.amazon.com/Remembered-Kendal-Hanover-Residents-Association/dp/0979997003Notes on the book on this site state: "What stands out so clearly in these "remembrances of things past" is the unmistakable ring of authenticity in every account, a rare quality in the literature of war. Even after 70 years, every recollection remains vivid. Time has done little to dim those parlous times and recollections; they add depth and breadth to tales of wartime and to the significance of experiences lives in service...World War II Remembered is an exceptional human document--a legacy of greatness to be treasured for a very long time.
There are 56 recollections of war in this remarkable book. Each account is a highly personal remembrance of life and death in a war fought 70 years ago in all corners of the globe. Each hero here captures the terror, the drama, the blood, and the boredom of war as they knew it. Each memory is a straightforward account of never-to-be-forgotten experiences. Each is a candid assessment of what it meant to serve."
