I found a photo of a 106th Infantry Division gun crew around their weapon on a 30th Division photo site. The photo is identified as the gun crew (and gun) of the 591st Field Artillery Battalion, B Battery, 4th gun Section. You can find the photo by hitting this link and scrolling down 25 photos or so to the thumbnail images of photo and photo back: www.oldhickory30th.com/Misc.%2030th%20PHOTOS.htmOr you can avoid the scrolling and view the photo on this discussion board: 106thdivision.proboards.com/post/3711/thread(Images can be enlarged with a double click.) The photo back identifies members of the crew and states it was taken in Roanne, Belgium. (There is also a notation that this was published in our May'92 Cub) Since the 589th, 590th, and 591st all fired 105 mm howitzers, I am assuming that this is the gun in the photo? Connie Note: also see link to other places listed on this board: 106thdivision.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=dates&action=display&thread=553

That is indeed a 105mm howitzer Connie. An M2A1 to be exact.
Greetings Carl
