A January issue of On Patrol, the magazine of the USO carries an article and video clip that relates to the 106th entitled POW recalls Battle of the Bulge.
It gives some of the division history in the context of the Bulge and inserts the story of Cpl Stanley Wojtuski 422G Co / POW. Wojtuski made the erection of monuments to those lost a lifetime project. He was knighted/ received awards in Belgium and Luxembourg for these efforts. (This hits a theme that many have encountered there: Every veteran is a Rock Star!)
