Don't know if there will be much TV coverage of the sailing event, but the recent post on the Tour de France reminded me that there is another event that will hit historic site for many in the 106th.
It is my understanding that the sailing event will take place in the bay off the Isle of Portland (just south of Weymouth). The launch location is very close to the site where the LST's carrying most (if not all) of the field artillery units from the 106th set off for their channel crossing.

Thanks for the tip. I've been watching a lot of the Olympics, but not sailing. I'll want to go back and watch the sailing now. I've also let my family know.

Good to know someone will be watching. Let me know if you're able to catch any portion of the sailing events. The yacht club where I assume the Olympic sailors are starting is located on or adjacent to the area where the LST's that carried the Field Artillery left from when they crossed the channel.
