If you go to the Research Helps/ Useful Links/ Division Histories on this board you will note a new addition: the 62Vgd site. This is one of the German units that faced the 106th in WWII.

Their sidebar takes you to some good histories related to the 106th and the 423rd and 424th Infantry Regiments. The source of the Division History is the Lone Sentry accounts for which there has long been a link on this board. But the copy they have done is in larger print and includes a few black and white photos.
