Assorted questions regarding separation papers seem to surface from time to time. I thought this would be a good place to capture that discussion.
Discharge Papers box #6: Organization
Recently there has been discussion about the fact that a single unit appeared on a discharge paper when the daughter of the soldier knew her father had served in a series of units. Was this an oversight? I recalled Floyd having once mention that he was allowed to choose which of his last 2 units served that he would like to have listed on his separation papers.
