FLIGHTS
When heading from the US to explore 106th positions in the ETO, we flew into Amsterdam where we connected to a smaller flight to Luxembourg. Luxembourg made for a shorter drive to our destination around St. Vith than from larger airports in Belgium, and the Luxembourg airport was pleasant, comfortable, and small-- read quicker & simpler to navigate.
It worked for us, but I'm sure there are many options that have worked well for others.
It would be good to hear other's choices...

ROAD MAPS
Most travel bookstores have travel maps available. I like the Michelin map of Belgium and Luxembourg I picked up several years back. It wasn't cheap. It ran $10.95 at the time-- probably more now.
Of course many rental cars now come equipped with navigation systems. And you can always print up detailed web maps that zoom in on details. But I still think it's handy to have a good overview road map along...
