It would greatly be appreciated if anyone could help identify where these pictures may have been taken and more importantly who the soldiers are. These were found in my parents personal items among some of my mom's brothers and my father's military possessions. They have all now passed, except one brother but at 97 years of age he is unable to help. If I could at least have some help where these pictures may have been taken I may be able to narrow down some information regarding the photos. All five photos I feel were taking on the same day as they each have the same film development information on the reverse side. Thank You Attachments:

Hello again:
I believe this picture was taken on a Sat., or Sunday, when these Soldiers had the day off. They are dressed in their olive drab clothes (wool) and they all appear to be slim & trim which is a sign that they are well into Basic Training, or close to completing it.
Again, none of them are wearing any ribbons, or medals, which is an indication that they are in the early stages of their military life.

Thanks Floyd for all the information and the in depth education, very much appreciated. I certainly would not have known any of the clothing details but that does help with a time frame. Also I had not thought about the uniform ensigns, or the lack there of. I do agree with you these are young recruits or draftees. You may be correct that it could be N.C. I am a Carolina girl and that is where all 4 of my uncles and my dad where born and raised. Not sure about my Uncles but my dad was deployed according to his seperation papers from N.C., Fort Bragg, but I think I am correct in saying none did their basic training there. With the information I have on their service time including pictures and many boxes of letters I believe their early training was in, Texas, Arizona,California, Arkansas and Illinois. Three of the Uncles went on to be officers / pilots, two were bombardiers.
On the other hand my dad was drafted in 1944 and I have over 500 pictures during his time served. I have discovered most of the pictures are from Guam, Peleliu, Okinawa and Iwo Jima. His discharge papers have him listed as 3605th ORD HAM CO and Guard Patrolman 111th Infantry, would that mean he would not have been part of the 106? If so, with the information I have and with all that you have provided I may be able to narrow down these pictures to either belonging to my dad or one particular Uncle. One other question... the soldiers that graduated together during basic were they deployed to the same areas?
Once again Floyd I thank you so much for your information... and your service.
