I know. I finally got the copy I requested on a gift list.

I've been working a lot of projects & set this aside to give it my full attention soon. But the bits I have read are well written, real, and very approachable.

I am already familiar with the basics of the actual escape story of this member of C-Battery of the 592nd Field Artillery Battalion who was on his way toward the Forward Observer Post (in a group of around a dozen men) on the first day of the Bulge when they were hit by enemy fire from both sides of the road from Auw to Roth.

This is part of the core story... but there is much more Iin this book.

I am looking forward to the read!
